The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nichols throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Haze counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Haze fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Drake Nichols seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nichols misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Haze.
Nichols misses with a double jab
and Haze counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A combination from Nichols does no damage.
Haze throws a right and a left that Nichols avoids nicely.

Nichols fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Haze manages to avoid it.
Haze moves out of range as Nichols strikes.

and Haze counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nichols uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Haze.
Nichols drops his hands momentarily and Haze takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Patrick Haze has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Haze throws a lazy right hand but Nichols sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Haze counters with a head kick. That will keep Nichols thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Haze throws a right hand that Nichols ducks under and follows up with a left that Nichols also avoids with ease.
Drake Nichols is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Haze counters with a series of strikes. Nichols will be more careful next time no doubt.
Haze lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nichols scores with a jab to the jaw.
Nichols tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Haze was well out of range. Poor timing from Nichols.
Haze takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nichols throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Haze's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Haze duly obliges.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Haze dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Nichols is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nichols is breathing heavily.
Nichols backs away from a small jab... but Haze lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Nichols crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Haze with a spectacular finish!
