Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexsander Materovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Eveans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eveans is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: One Step Into A World. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Materovic swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Eveans counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Materovic clinches up with Eveans and pushes him back against the cage.
Materovic tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Eveans smiles and moves away.
Materovic wants to clinch but Eveans slips to the side
and Eveans counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Materovic is lucky that one didn't land flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Materovic moves into the clinch.
Materovic is trying to pull guard but Eveans turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Materovic tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Materovic misses with an elbow over the top.
Materovic manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Materovic breaks the clinch.

Materovic tries to clinch there but Eveans circles away.
Eveans tries a head kick but it misses.
Materovic shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Eveans defends it nicely.

Materovic darts in and clinches Eveans up against the cage.
Materovic is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Materovic tries to clinch up but Eveans circles away and keeps his distance.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Materovic tries to move into full mount but can't pass Eveans's legs.
Materovic takes a little break here. Eveans wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Materovic is trying to get an arm triangle but Eveans is defending well.
Materovic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Eveans prevents Materovic from improving position.
Materovic is working hard here to advance position.

Materovic wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Eveans, who protects the arm well.
Eveans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Materovic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Materovic is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Eveans looks calm but he's in trouble here. Materovic gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Eveans is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Materovic lets go of the hold and Eveans can pop his arm back in it's socket.
