Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vogt steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Phenix. That one must have hurt.
Vogt looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Phenix is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vogt's half guard.
Phenix throwing shots but Vogt is blocking nicely.
Phenix winds up and cracks Vogt with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Phenix wants to free his trapped foot but Vogt is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Phenix content to control rather than advance.
It looks like Phenix might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vogt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Phenix keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Fernando Phenix was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Oooooh!!! Phenix has knocked Vogt down with a huge combo! Phenix steps away and waves a wobbly Vogt back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Vogt is rocked!
It looks like Anthony Vogt has been cut.
