The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smirnov tries for a takedown but Reznik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Smirnov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reznik sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smirnov somewhat.
Reznik throws a right and a left that both miss.
Smirnov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slava Smirnov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reznik swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smirnov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reznik swivels and escapes.
Reznik looks to land a combination but Smirnov avoids it well.
Reznik misses with the combination.
A big right from Reznik misses.
Reznik shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smirnov pinned against the cage. Smirnov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Reznik swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reznik takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Smirnov tries to clinch up.
Smirnov fails with a takedown attempt.
Smirnov throws a right and a left that Reznik avoids nicely.
Reznik fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Smirnov sprawls well initially but Reznik persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Smirnov pushes Reznik off looking to stand but Reznik dives back in and keeps control.
Reznik thows a huge punch but Smirnov dodges it nicely.
Smirnov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Smirnov kicks Reznik off and gets back to his feet.
Smirnov is breathing heavily.
Reznik throws a right and a left that both miss.
Trevor Reznik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smirnov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Slava Smirnov has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smirnov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Smirnov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Reznik as he jumps to the side.
Reznik misses with a series of wild punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smirnov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reznik.
Reznik cracks Smirnov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Reznik has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smirnov to stand back up!
Smirnov is rocked!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Reznik moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Smirnov! Reznik continues to tee off on Smirnov, landing with a left and a right! Reznik connects with a right hand that leaves Smirnov sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Reznik!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Trevor Reznik!
