The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Holmes. Pony does a little dance to reset his feet.
Holmes lands a head kick. Pony smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Holmes just misses with a punch to the body.
No luck for Pony with that takedown attempt.
Holmes is looking to clinch but Pony is avoiding it.
Holmes ducks under a wild hook from Pony.
Pony swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Holmes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Holmes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Hank Holmes has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pony throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Holmes fails to land with a series of punches.
Holmes on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Pony looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Holmes slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Pony throws a strike but Holmes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Holmes lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Holmes works over Pony with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pony controls Holmes momentarily but Holmes frees himself.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tunturi Pony wasn't active enough on the ground.

Pony darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Holmes tries to roll over but Pony keeps him under control.

Pony wants to advance to full mount but Holmes doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Pony is working Holmes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pony is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Holmes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A slow jab from Pony misses its intended target.
Holmes lunges at Pony with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pony's hand.
Pony avoids the head kick by Holmes.

Pony fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Holmes sprawls well initially but Pony persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pony throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Holmes to regain full guard.
Pony postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Pony! Holmes is hurt baaadly! Pony is firing away with more strikes - Holmes is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
