PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blood Bane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emil Blonksy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bane throws a leg kick but Blonksy sees it coming and moves out of range.
No joy there for Bane, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bane misses with a head kick.
Bane finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A head kick from Bane lands but Blonksy takes it in his stride.
Bane pivots, looking for a leg kick but Blonksy is out of range and Bane settles back down.
Bane defending well as Blonksy loads up on a big left hand.
Blonksy misses with a few strikes there.
Bane lands a leg kick that knocks Blonksy off balance momentarily.
Blonksy tries to clinch up.
Blonksy walks into a straight right hand from Bane.
Blonksy tries to clinch but Bane is having none of it.
Blonksy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bane swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bane slips under a jab from Blonksy.
Bane throws a hook to the side of Blonksy's head but Blonksy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bane's corner calls for a 1-2. Bane obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That kick from Bane tenderised Blonksy's leg. Blonksy is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bane thuds his shin into the meat of Blonksy's side.
Bane connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Bane lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bane throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Blonksy tries to clinch up
and Bane counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Blood Bane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blonksy wants to clinch up but Bane keeps it at a distance.
Bane misses with a low kick.
Blonksy blocks a head kick by Bane.
Blonksy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Blonksy misses with an uppercut. Bane saw that one coming.
Blonksy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The fighters circling - Bane throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bane slips under a jab from Blonksy.
Bane fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blonksy.
Blonksy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Bane tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Blonksy is able to avoid easily.
Blonksy cracks Bane with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nice body kick there by Bane.

Blonksy closes the distance and pushes Bane back into the cage.

Blonksy looks gassed!
A nice left hand lands by Bane.
Bane struggles to land a body shot inside as Blonksy controls his hands.
Blonksy tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bane's elbow.
Nice body punch from Bane - that landed with a thud.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bane manages to break the clinch.
Bane connects with an inside leg kick.
Blonksy walks into a straight right hand from Bane.
Bane lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Blonksy at a distance.

Bane throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Emil Blonksy has been cut.
Bane lands with a slapping head kick.

Blonksy is rocked!
Blonksy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bane tries a head kick but it misses.
Bane lands a nice looking kick to the body. Blonksy takes a step back to recover.
That kick from Bane tenderised Blonksy's leg. Blonksy is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bane connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bane lands a leg kick that knocks Blonksy off balance momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blood Bane dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Emil Blonksy's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bane feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Blonksy sprawling to the canvas! Blonksy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bane finish him?!
Blonksy is still on wobbly legs! Can Bane finish him?
Bane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Blonksy can do to turn this around?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Blonksy seems to have recovered his senses.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Bane! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Blood Bane thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
