The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mara moves into range and clinches up with Achilles.
Achilles throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Maras head.

Mara breaks from the clinch.
Mara lands a nice leg kick that just misses Achilles's sensitive parts.
Achilles looks to land a combination but Mara avoids it well.
Mara punishes Achilles's body with a nice straight punch.
Mara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Achilles has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mara.

Achilles gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Mara keeps the fight on the outside.
Achilles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mara paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Achilles seems to have got his legs back now.
Achilles connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Achilles moves in looking to clinch but Mara pushes him off.

Achilles shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mara sprawls well. Mara wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Achilles gets slowly back to his feet.
Mara stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Mara misses with a looping right.
Mara wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mara lands a nice hook to Achilles's body. Achilles takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Mara connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Mara slips a straight right by Achilles.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Achilles. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Achilles drives through and clinches with Mara against the cage.

Mara lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Achilles backwards.
Achilles is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mara is defending well.

Mara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mara lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

enabling Mara to counter with a crisp jab.
Mara connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Achilles momentarily.
Achilles looks for a takedown but Mara sprawls well.

Achilles shoots in and drives through. Mara sprawls well.
Achilles is looking to clinch but Mara is avoiding it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mara cracks Achilles with an open hand slap.
Achilles on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Mara lands a big uppercut and Achilles crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Achilles looks OK. Mara waves Achilles back to his feet!
Mara closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Achilles out cold! Achilles corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
