Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justin Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuuji Mutou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryuuji Mutou will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dude misses with a head kick.
Mutou tries a low kick but Dude avoids it.
Dude blocks a head kick by Mutou.
Dude keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Mutou gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Dude has Mutou pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mutou manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dude avoids a wild elbow strike from Mutou.
Mutou is pressed up against the cage. Dude has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mutou down to the mat. Mutou avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Good leg kick by Mutou there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Dude shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mutou's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mutou can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dude connects with a couple of short punches.
Dude with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Mutou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dude. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mutou controls Dude momentarily but Dude frees himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dude lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Dude wants to pass to mount but Mutou is defending the position.
Dude slips a nice elbow through Mutou's hands, connecting with Mutou's forehead.
Dude thows a huge punch but Mutou dodges it nicely.
Dude works his foot free and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dude looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Dude cracks Mutou with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Dude lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dude wants to control the pace but Mutou is squirming around nicely.

Dude lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Dude trying to control but Mutou is having none of it.
Dude has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mutou is trying desperately to improve position.

Mutou is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dude with shots to the head and body - Mutou looks very uncomfortable down there.
The referee warns Mutou that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Mutou tries to reverse the position but Dude maintains control.
Mutou is still in real trouble! Can Dude finish him?
Mutou seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
