Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Janne Jakoavain!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko is looking to score with low kicks.
Saukko looks for a takedown but Jakoavain sprawls well.

Saukko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jakoavain sprawls well. Jakoavain wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Saukko gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Per Saukko will probably get the nod.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Janne Jakoavain hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Saukko will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Per Saukko will probably get the nod.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Saukko shoots in looking for a takedown. Jakoavain tries to sprawl out of it but Saukko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jakoavain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Per Saukko.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Saukko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
