Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Benson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Wellman Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benson comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Not Afraid. Wellman Junior has chosen speakers on blast- the game as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wellman Junior throws a right and a left that Benson avoids nicely.

Benson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wellman Junior was covering up waiting for the punch and Benson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Benson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wellman Junior has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Benson has managed to get both his arms back between Wellman Junior's legs - danger averted.
Benson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Benson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Benson is fighting to break Wellman Junior's control of his arms but Wellman Junior is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Wellman Junior escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Benson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Benson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dan Benson.

Benson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wellman Junior swivels and escapes.
Wellman Junior misses with a double jab.
Wellman Junior lands with a nice body punch.
Benson walks into a jab.
Benson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Benson there as he acknowledges the shot.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wellman Junior lands a really nice looking cross but Benson seems unphased.
Shane Wellman Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Benson.
Wellman Junior connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wellman Junior throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Benson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Wellman Junior drops Benson with a beautiful combination! Benson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Wellman Junior is looking for the KO!

Benson is rocked!

and Wellman Junior counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
