The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson keeps the fight on the outside.
Ferguson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ferguson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Evans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ferguson somewhat.

Ferguson tries to pull guard but Evans holds him up against the cage and eventually Ferguson drops back down to his feet.
Bj Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Ferguson.

Evans pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Evans really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ferguson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Ferguson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
