Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Smooth Operator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nixon Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Operator comes to the cage accompanied by Beautiful in Blue alesana. Operator is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Operator, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nixon Red seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Operator is breathing heavily.
Operator throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Operator throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Red.
Red throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Red throws a front kick that sends Operator stumbling back into the cage.

Red clinches with his opponent.

Red escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Red pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Operator back to the cage. Red follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Operator takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Operator chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Red can pounce on him.
Red moves into range and connects with a jab.

Red forces Operator back against the cage and clinches.

Red breaks from the clinch.
Red pushes Operator away with a front kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Red lands a nice knee to the body.

Red cracks Operator with an open hand slap.
Operator with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Red to score with a decent uppercut.

Red paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Red lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Red connects with a right hand. Operator shakes it off.
Red lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Red takes the fight into the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Red.
Red landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Red's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Red fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Red tests Operator's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Red thuds his shin into the meat of Operator's side.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Red tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Red throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Operator takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Operator walks into a straight right hand from Red.

Red scores with a body shot.
Red is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Operator had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Red misses with a two punch combination.
Red scores with a one two! Operator had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Operator takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Operator is rocked!
Red scores with a head kick.
Oh Operator is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Red feints a jab promting Operator to slip. Red then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Operator slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Red pounces like a tiger and cracks Operator with a vicious hook! Operator is down but not out! Red follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Nixon Red!
