PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Steel!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Steel can pounce on him.
Steel chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jaa on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Steel throws a leg kick which misses Jaa's front leg but catches the back leg as Jaa tries to avoid it.
Chuck Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Steel. Jaa does a little dance to reset his feet.
A clash of legs there as Jaa blocks the low kick.
Jaa checks a low kick from Steel.
Jaa blocks the body kick.
Steel throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Some bone on bone action there as Steel checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Steel misses with a body shot.
Jaa fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Steel is out of range.
Steel avoids a punch combination nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steel listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

It looks like Rony Jaa has been cut.
Steel throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Steel comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Steel! Jaa is out on his feet! Steel rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Jaa is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Jaa is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chuck Steel!
