Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shefki Kuqi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Nye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Shefki Kuqi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Shefki Kuqi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nye takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kuqi keeps the fight on the outside.
Kuqi throws a right and a left that Nye avoids nicely.
Nye tries to close the distance and clinch but Kuqi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nye moves into the clinch.
Kuqi lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Nye has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kuqi is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kuqi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nye keeps working.
Kuqi is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Nye wants to improve his position but Kuqi is controlling well.
Kuqi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nye tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kuqi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kuqi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nye is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Nye feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kuqi's calf.
Nye bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nye is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kuqi stops Nye from standing up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nye is bucking up trying to escape but Kuqi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
