Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maki Daebak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maki Daebak had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Maki Daebak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Sol!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daebak feints and as Sol raises his hands in defense, Daebak changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Daebak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sol swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sol has control of Daebak's left arm, preventing Daebak from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sol looks for a takedown but Daebak sprawls well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Daebak.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Daebak fails to land the takedown.
Daebak lands a jab.
Daebak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sol as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maki Daebak. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sol misses with a takedown
and Daebak counters with a left and a right that stings Sol.
Daebak misses with a series of wild punches.
Sol slips a jab and a cross from Daebak.
Sol looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sol tries to keep at a distance but Daebak has taken the fight into the clinch.

Daebak is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sol can't fight it off and eventually Daebak manages to take the fight to the floor. Sol looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Sol has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Daebak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sol bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Daebak prevents Sol from moving into mount.
Sol has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Sol is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Daebak is surviving well by controlling Sol's body position as best he can.

Daebak is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Sol swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Daebak is now in Sol's guard. A big mistake from Sol there, giving up the dominant position!

Daebak drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sol manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Daebak has Sol in his guard.
Sol wants to control from the top but Daebak keeps moving.

Sol throwing strikes from guard but Daebak blocks nicely.

Daebak is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sol defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sol wants to pass the guard but Daebak is keeping the position.
Sol throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Daebak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Sol drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Daebak manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sol has Daebak in his guard.
Daebak would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Sol looking for a guillotine here but Daebak defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Daebak is pushing down on Sol's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sol is fighting to maintain full guard but Daebak has managed to sneak the leg through.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Daebak is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Daebak is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sol is just riding it out for now. Daebak eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Viktor Sol showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Sol looks for a takedown but Daebak sprawls well.
Maki Daebak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daebak moves in looking to clinch but Sol pushes him off.

Daebak keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Daebak tries for a takedown but Sol sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Daebak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sol slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Daebak is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sol scores with a couple of nice shots.

Sol seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Daebak keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Daebak is refusing to be controlled, as Sol sits in half guard.
Daebak blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sol.
Sol lands with a punch from half guard.
Sol is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Sol landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Sol throwing shots but Daebak is blocking nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daebak wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Daebak regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sol.

Viktor Sol comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sol has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
