Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Negreanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steinar Sting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Negreanu comes to the cage accompanied by Make Her Say - Kid Cudi. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sting punishes Negreanu's body with a nice straight punch.
Negreanu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sting tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Negreanu swivels and escapes.
Sting with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sting takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sting scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

and Negreanu counters with a nice body kick.
Negreanu misses the shot to the body.
Negreanu misses with an uppercut.

Sting takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Negreanu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sting with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Negreanu to score with a decent uppercut.
Sting takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sting throws a low kick but it's checked well by Negreanu.

Negreanu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sting manages to avoid it.
Negreanu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sting.

Sting checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A big left from Negreanu misses.
Negreanu takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sting misses with a kick to the body.

Negreanu throws a sloppy head kick and Sting moves out of range easily.

and Negreanu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sting looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sting lands with a kick to the temple. Negreanu shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Sting throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Negreanu on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Negreanu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sting was well out of range. Poor timing from Negreanu.

Negreanu scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Sting shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Negreanu keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Sting missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Sting is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Sting wants to work for an arm triangle but Negreanu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Sting fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Negreanu wants to control but Sting is having none of it.
Negreanu is desperately trying to improve his position but Sting has a good base and remains in mount.
Sting landing strikes from the mount and Negreanu is in trouble!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sting pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Sting throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Negreanu because Sting loaded up on that one.
