The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rotterdam shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Rotterdam is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rotterdam looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Drago is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Rotterdam is trying to work for a kimura but Drago is defending well.

Rotterdam is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Drago is not content to let Rotterdam control the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rotterdam is thwarting Drago's attempts to control the position.
Rotterdam prevents Drago from improving his position.
Drago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rotterdam on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Drago has Rotterdam up against the cage in a clinch.

Drago turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Drago manages to end up in side control.
Rotterdam is looking to regain half guard here but Drago keeps moving and retains side control.

Drago decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rotterdam to his feet.
Rotterdam looks gassed!

Drago gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Drago escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rotterdam looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Drago is fending him off so far but Rotterdam persists. Nope, Drago circles away and we're back to standing.
Drago tries to bum rush Rotterdam with a series of wild strikes but Rotterdam uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rotterdam connects with a looping right hand.
Rotterdam thuds a left hand into Drago's body.
Rotterdam waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Drago. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Drago to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Drago is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rotterdam advances to half guard.
Oh Drago is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
