Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Tony Trinckelton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jin Takeda!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trinckelton throws an off balance right hand
and Takeda counters with a series of strikes. Trinckelton will be more careful next time no doubt.
Trinckelton plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Jin Takeda has been cut.
Takeda looks to land a combination but Trinckelton avoids it well.
Trinckelton throws a lazy head kick

and Takeda counters by moving into the clinch.
Takeda is trying to break free.

Trinckelton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Takeda throws a half hearted mid kick.
No joy there for Takeda, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Trinckelton throws a nice looking combination but Takeda bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Trinckelton misses with a looping right.

Trinckelton misses the jab.
Trinckelton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takeda.
Trinckelton misses with a series of wild punches.
Takeda uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Trinckelton.
Takeda misses with the combination.
Trinckelton jabbing away but nothing is landing.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Trinckelton checks a leg kick.
Trinckelton stalks Takeda and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Takeda's face. Takeda staggers backwards, shaken.
Takeda throws a right hand that Trinckelton ducks under and follows up with a left that Trinckelton also avoids with ease.
Trinckelton misses with a few strikes there.

Tony Trinckelton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Takeda avoids the body shot from Trinckelton.
Trinckelton lands with a good body shot.
Trinckelton waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Takeda.

and Takeda counters with a left and a right that stings Trinckelton.

Trinckelton throws a looping overhand right but Takeda ducks down to avoid it.
Takeda misses with a few strikes there.
Trinckelton throws a right and a left that Takeda avoids nicely.
Trinckelton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Trinckelton does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Trinckelton avoids a punch combination nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takeda takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Trinckelton wants to clinch up but Takeda keeps it at a distance.

Takeda shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Trinckelton is trying to defend but Takeda finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takeda is keen to just control but Trinckelton is a slippery customer.

Takeda seems to be looking for submissions.

Takeda wants to work for an arm triangle but Trinckelton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Takeda not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Trinckelton wants to control but Takeda is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Trinckelton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Takeda is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Takeda passes to side control.
Takeda laying and praying for a moment but Trinckelton takes advantage and regains half guard.

Takeda seems to be looking for submissions.
Takeda thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Takeda is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Trinckelton pushes Takeda off looking to stand but Takeda dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jin Takeda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Takeda counters with a three punch combo that has Trinckelton backing up. Trinckelton nods at Takeda to acknowledge the strikes.

enabling Trinckelton to counter with a crisp jab.
Left hook, right uppercut from Takeda.
Trinckelton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Takeda stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Trinckelton.

Trinckelton throws the left hand but Takeda avoids the punch easily.

Trinckelton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Trinckelton throws a hook but Takeda avoids it easily.
Takeda uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trinckelton.
Takeda shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Trinckelton eats them both and turns towards Takeda to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A punch combination from Takeda misses.
A jab from Trinckelton does it's job there.

Trinckelton throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Takeda ducks under a wild hook from Trinckelton.
Trinckelton connects with the punch.


That has opened up Jin Takeda's cut even more.
Tony Trinckelton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Trinckelton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Trinckelton tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Takeda is able to avoid easily.
Nice sprawl there from Trinckelton as Takeda shoots in.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
