The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green drives through with a takedown into Rekdal's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Green drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rekdal manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Green has Rekdal in his guard.

Rekdal lands a big shot there that rocks Green but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like James Green has been cut.

Rekdal has control of Green's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Green regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Rekdal on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Rekdal stalks Green and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Green's face. Green staggers backwards, shaken.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Green closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rekdal circles away.
Rekdal drops Green with a big left hand! Green is injured, injured bad! Rekdal jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Thorbjorn Rekdal thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
