The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pylkkanen scores with the left hand. Nikkenen knows he should have avoided that one.
Nikkenen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pylkkanen's head.

It looks like Konsta Pylkkanen has been cut.
Pylkkanen tries to bum rush Nikkenen with a series of wild strikes but Nikkenen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pylkkanen connects with a solid leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pylkkanen gets tackled into the ropes by Nikkenen. Nikkenen maintains the clinch.
Nikkenen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Pylkkanen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Nikkenen's efforts to push away.
Nikkenen makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Nikkenen lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pylkkanen wants to improve his position but Nikkenen is controlling well.
Pylkkanen is trying to control but can't.
Nikkenen works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
