The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dugonics closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cavalcante quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Cavalcante has control of Dugonics's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dugonics regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Dugonics shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cavalcante pinned against the cage. Cavalcante gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Cavalcante has hold of Dugonics's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Dugonics tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Cavalcante cranks the arm and Dugonics screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dugonics, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
