Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simija Nomurokai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nomurokai pushes Powers up against the cage in a clinch.

Nomurokai is fighting off a takedown attempt but Powers is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Nomurokai to the mat. Nomurokai regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Nomurokai is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Powers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nomurokai to the mat! Nomurokai manages to get full guard.

Powers is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nomurokai pulls his head out easily.
Nomurokai has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Powers works to full guard.

Nomurokai decides to stand back up. Nomurokai steps back and let's Powers get back to his feet.

Powers moves into the clinch.

Powers has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Nomurokai clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Nomurokai wants to control from the top but Powers keeps moving.

Powers had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nomurokai defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nomurokai tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee asks Nomurokai politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nomurokai prefers to stall for the moment though.

It looks like Kenny Powers has been cut.

Nomurokai shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Powers napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Nomurokai creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Powers sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Nomurokai tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nomurokai has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Powers is not content to let Nomurokai control the position.

Nomurokai has control of Powers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Powers regains control of the situation pretty easily.
