PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hindu Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hindu Kush told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jimmy Dean!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hindu Kush!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kush misses with a straight left.
Dean shoots in looking for a takedown. Kush tries to sprawl out of it but Dean keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kush manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jimmy Dean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kush throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dean.
Dean takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dean cracks Kush with a solid left hand.

Dean scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hindu Kush will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
