Jones comes into the arena with Doctor Jones blaring out of the sound system. Visigoth has chosen THUNDERSTRUCK as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alaric Visigoth!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Visigoth throws out the jab.
Visigoth avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones throws a big shot that misses.
Visigoth rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jones counters with a body kick that stops Visigoth in his tracks momentarily.
Jones lands a jab-cross combination.

Visigoth drives through with a takedown into Jones's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Visigoth makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Visigoth seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jones moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Visigoth is just out of range.
Visigoth throws a poor cross that misses
and Jones counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Visigoth manages to avoid it.
Visigoth takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Jones lands a nice looking body shot.
Jones misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Visigoth counters with a stiff right hand.
Visigoth connects with the punch.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Visigoth shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Jones throws a sloppy body shot
and Visigoth counters with a big right hand! Oh Jones is in trouble here! Visigoth follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Alaric Visigoth decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
