Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gk King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bull Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by ACDC- Thunderstruck. Terrier has chosen Closer - Nine Inch Nales as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Gk King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bull Terrier!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King misses with a head kick.
King jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Terrier moves out of range of the leg kick from King.
King misses with a low kick.

Terrier moves into the clinch.
King misses with a body punch.
Terrier softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
King working aggressively here.
Terrier tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Terrier misses with a hook to the ribs.
King is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Terrier is defending well for now.
Terrier misses with a hook to the ribs.

Terrier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
King feints a jab promting Terrier to slip. King then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Terrier slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Terrier throws a shot from downtown. King moves away and avoids it.

King scores with a leg kick.

Terrier takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
King throws a half hearted mid kick.
The crowd cheers as Terrier lands an impressive looking overhand right. King doesn't seem phased though.

King feints and then cracks Terrier's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Terrier down.
Terrier takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Terrier throws out a loose jab but King uses good head movement to avoid it.

King thumps Terrier with a low kick.
King dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Terrier. That did some damage!

and Terrier counters with a nice body shot.
Terrier misses with a looping left.

King bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
King throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Terrier tries to clinch there but King circles away.
King throws a poor cross that misses

and Terrier counters by clinching up.
King misses with a short punch on the inside.
Terrier tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Terrier works on King's body with a couple of short punches.
Terrier lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Terrier looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Terrier goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Terrier pushes King back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Terrier tries to throw a body punch but King avoids it by throwing Terrier back against the cage.
Terrier is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Terrier tries to circle away but King has him pinned against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Terrier's face as he tries to break the clinch.
King tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Terrier stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Terrier blocks a body shot from King.
Terrier can't find room to land a body shot as King controls the action.

Nice body punch from King.
Terrier misses with some punches.

Terrier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Terrier thows a body shot but no joy.

Terrier gets a clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
King blocks an uppercut.

Terrier breaks the clinch.
Terrier tries to clinch up.
Terrier lands a nice shot that snaps King's head back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bull Terrier dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


King throws a nice looking combination but Terrier bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

King connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Terrier's hands.
Terrier stalks King and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into King's face. King staggers backwards, shaken.

King lands a high kick!
Terrier throws a hook but King blocks it.
King misses the shot to the body.
King throws a low kick but Terrier avoids it.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Terrier wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance.
Bull Terrier is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Terrier clinches up with King and pushes him back against the cage.
King takes a shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Terrier is trying to break free.

Terrier lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down King.

Terrier breaks the clinch.
Terrier jabbing away but nothing is landing.
King ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Terrier misses with a straight left.
Terrier throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Terrier throws a big shot that misses.
King missing with a left hand there. Terrier was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That kick from King tenderised Terrier's leg. Terrier is trying to keep his angry face on.
Terrier's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Terrier duly obliges.
King looks to land a combination. Terrier sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

King misses with a body kick.
King misses with a wild body shot.
Terrier lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
King feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Terriers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Terrier tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
King throws a leg kick but Terrier sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Terrier connects with a nice looking jab.
Terrier lands an overhand right.
King misses with a body shot.
King turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gk King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Terrier has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
King ducks under a wild hook from Terrier.

King scores with a kick to the midsection.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

King throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Terrier counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Terrier on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
King takes a swing at Terrier's ribcage but misses.
King lands a nice shot to the body.
Terrier lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as King backs up against the cage.

Terrier closes the distance and lands a one-two.
King lands a nice shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bull Terrier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


King pivots, looking for a leg kick but Terrier is out of range and King settles back down.
Bull Terrier seems to be getting the better of the standup.
King goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Terrier on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

King throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
King fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Terrier checks it well.
Terrier lands a jab to King's midsection.
King throws a nice outside leg kick.
King feints and then cracks Terrier's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Terrier down.
Terrier blocks a low kick nicely.
King throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
King lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Terrier throws a body punch but King moves out of range.
Terrier lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
King fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Terrier avoids it really well and circles away.
King lands a head kick!
Terrier misses with a series of wild punches.
Terrier missing with a left hand there. King was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Terrier throws an uppercut from half a mile away. King sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Terrier ducks under a wild hook from King.
Gk King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

King throws a sloppy head kick and Terrier moves out of range easily.
Nice body punch from King.
A good leg kick by King.
King turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
King misses with a head kick.
King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Terrier pinned against the cage. Terrier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
King takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Terrier lands a jab to the nose.

Terrier connects with a jab.
King connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
King shoots for a double leg takedown but Terrier sprawls well. He's pushed King's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gk King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Terrier lands with a hook. King tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
King throws a sloppy head kick and Terrier moves out of range easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Terrier looks to land a right hand but King moved out of range.
Terrier with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling King to score with a decent uppercut.
Terrier connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Terrier misses with the combination.
King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
King has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from King there as he acknowledges the shot.
King looks to land a right hand but Terrier moved out of range.
Terrier's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
King is looking to chop away at Terrier's legs.
Terrier dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bull Terrier is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Terrier moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gk King.
Well Terrier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
