Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Devon Berto Jr!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zala shoots and misses
and Berto Jr counters with a body kick.
Zala stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Berto Jr.
Berto Jr throws a nice looking combination but Zala bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Zala shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Berto Jr fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Berto Jr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Zala manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Berto Jr missing with a left hand there. Zala was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Berto Jr moves away from the strike by Zala.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zala fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Athrun Zala. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Berto Jr with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Zala shoots and misses
and Berto Jr counters with a head kick that drops Zala to the mat! Zala scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Berto Jr lands an overhand right.
Berto Jr cracks the inside of Zala's front leg.
Nice takedown defense from Berto Jr. No joy for Zala on that attempt.
Berto Jr misses with a head kick.
Zala scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A left lands for Zala.
Berto Jr buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Zala is breathing heavily.
Berto Jr misses with an attempted mid kick.
Berto Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zala takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Berto Jr bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zala's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Berto Jr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Zala takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Berto Jr sends Zala crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Berto Jr is motioning to the referee to let Zala up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Berto Jr thumps Zala with a low kick.
Berto Jr drops Zala with a huge uppercut! Zala drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Berto Jr is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
