PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Sharper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Millar doesn't manage to clinch there - Sharper circles away.

Sharper shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Millar wants to hold on but Sharper pushes him away.
Sharper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sharper's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sharper seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Millar for as long as he can get away with.

After the fight, Jon Sharper was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
