Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Kemp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and garrett puckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemp fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
puckett looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Kemp feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Even with his hooks in, Kemp manages to miss with strikes from the back.
puckett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kemp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

puckett has his foot on Kemp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kemp works his way back into a safe position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

puckett shoots for a double leg takedown but Kemp sprawls well. He's pushed puckett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
garrett puckett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kemp! puckett is out on his feet! Kemp rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - puckett is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! puckett is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
