Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Bryan Batungbakal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob Bryan Batungbakal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Piotr Nowak!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batungbakal tries a head kick but it misses.
Batungbakal punishes Nowak's body with a nice straight punch.
Batungbakal tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Batungbakal lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nowak circles away quickly and effectively.

Nowak decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Nowak is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Nowak is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Batungbakal looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Nowak with a flurry of punches that miss.
Batungbakal pulls Nowak in close to his closed guard and prevents Nowak from doing any damage or advancing position.
Nowak throws an elbow that misses. Batungbakal uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nowak's guard. Nice move by Batungbakal!

Batungbakal wants to pass the guard but Nowak is keeping the position.

Nowak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Batungbakal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Batungbakal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nowak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Batungbakal has managed to get both his arms back between Nowak's legs - danger averted.
Nowak wants to sweep here but Batungbakal controlling him for the moment.
Batungbakal tries to free his leg and advance position but Nowak is retaining full guard.
Batungbakal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Batungbakal avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nowak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Batungbakal drops back looking for a leg! Nowak is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nowak manages to kick Batungbakal off! Batungbakal jumps back into Nowak's guard.

Nowak wants to sweep but no luck.
Batungbakal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nowak is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Batungbakal pulls his head out easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Batungbakal connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Nowak to the floor! Batungbakal dives in looking for the finish!

Batungbakal sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Nowak is desperately trying to improve his position but Batungbakal has a good base and remains in mount.
Nowak holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Batungbakal tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Batungbakal softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Nowak is out cold! Batungbakal jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
