Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Dressler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by The Metal. Dressler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Raptile - Fight Back kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dressler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dressler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Black looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
John Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Black looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Black tries to clinch but Dressler is having none of it.
Jab by Black.
Black looks to score with a jab to the body but Dressler is just out of range.

Black tries a head kick but it misses.
Black throws a half hearted mid kick.
Black misses with an attempted mid kick.
Black shoots in for a takedown but Dressler shows good takedown defense.
Black tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Dressler counters with a single leg into guard. Black didn't expect that.

Dressler works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Dressler missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Dressler throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dressler controlling the pace.
Black wants to control but Dressler is keeping busy.
Dressler performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Dressler is looking for a kimura but Black is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dressler to get the leverage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dressler is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dressler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dressler is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Dressler extends the arm and Black is forced to tap!
