Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Olbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes to the cage accompanied by come as you are. Olbo has chosen Cant C Me as his entrance music. Drew Olbo struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki shoots in but Olbo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Olbo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aoki sprawls well initially but Olbo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Aoki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Olbo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Olbo's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Olbo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aoki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Olbo has Aoki in his guard.

Olbo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Aoki stacks Olbo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Aoki!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Olbo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Aoki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aoki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Aoki shoots in looking for a takedown. Olbo tries to sprawl out of it but Aoki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Olbo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Aoki rushes Olbo and presses him up against the cage.

Olbo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aoki's guard.
