Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kimo Twist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom McGettigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGettigan has chosen Knifeman - The Bronx as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kimo Twist!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom McGettigan!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twist shoots in for a takedown but McGettigan shows good takedown defense.
Twist fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McGettigan avoids it really well and circles away.
Twist takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
McGettigan throws a hook but Twist blocks it.
Twist tries to work over McGettigan's front leg with a kick but McGettigan checks it.
Twist looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McGettigan is fending him off so far but Twist persists. Nope, McGettigan circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimo Twist. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGettigan avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Twist takes one on the button.
Twist closes the distance and clinches up with McGettigan, looking for a takedown. Twist pushes McGettigan against the cage but McGettigan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Twist shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McGettigan cracks Twist with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horrible takedown by Twist or perhaps it was just good defense by McGettigan which made him look bad.
McGettigan tests Twist's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Twist decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

McGettigan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Twist. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Twist accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Twist seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. McGettigan is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Kimo Twist really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that -OVERDOSE Factory- logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
