Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micetic shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Van Laere sprawls well. Van Laere wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Micetic gets slowly back to his feet.
Van Laere gets a double leg takedown into Micetic's guard.
Micetic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Van Laere is one step ahead there.
Van Laere might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Van Laere stays in close to Micetic's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Micetic controls Van Laere momentarily but Van Laere frees himself.
Micetic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Van Laere defends it easily.
Van Laere postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Van Laere controls from within his opponent's guard.

Micetic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Van Laere lands a couple of digs.
Micetic can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Van Laere controls the pace.
Micetic wants to sweep but no luck.
Micetic is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Van Laere passes Micetic's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Van Laere decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Micetic gets a clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Micetic.
Van Laere has hold of one of Micetic's legs. Micetic is fighting the takedown attempt but Van Laere gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Micetic is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Van Laere locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Micetic is forced to tap!
