Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tanner shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Doomsday's guard.

It looks like Derek Doomsday has been cut.
Doomsday tries to hold on but Tanner postures up.
Doomsday takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Tanner fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That has opened up Derek Doomsday's cut even more.
Doomsday manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
