The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baskov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Emiliano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

and Baskov counters with a left and a right that stings Emiliano.
Baskov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Emiliano moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Emiliano tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baskov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Emiliano throws out a loose jab but Baskov uses good head movement to avoid it.

Emiliano shoots in looking for a takedown. Baskov tries to sprawl out of it but Emiliano keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baskov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Emiliano drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Baskov dives on top into guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nikolay Baskov will probably get the nod.

Emiliano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Baskov tries to avoid it but Emiliano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Baskov to the ground. Baskov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
