Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Box Bot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Vellonaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Box Bot has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vellonaz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vellonaz there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bot thuds his right hand into Vellonaz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Vellonaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bot tries to avoid it but Vellonaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bot to the ground. Bot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bot is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Bot connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vellonaz momentarily.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bot crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vellonaz - the referee stops the clock and Bot gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vellonaz. Bot manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Bot jumps guard but Vellonaz stands there with Bot around his waist. Bot gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bot is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Vellonaz decides to pull guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vellonaz is on top in guard.
Bot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vellonaz on the ground.
Bot controls Vellonaz momentarily but Vellonaz frees himself.

Vellonaz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Bot has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Vellonaz has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Bot's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vellonaz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
