Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Calviin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calviin Johnson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Calviin Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jerry Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Johnson coming out on top.
Calviin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lucas gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Lucas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.

Lucas has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Lucas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lucas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnson is aware though and is defending well.

Lucas has an active guard here but Johnson has managed to pass into half guard.
Johnson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Lucas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Lucas is staying active underneath Johnson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lucas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Johnson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Lucas wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.

Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We're going to have a standup here because Calviin Johnson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Lucas slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.
Lucas is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson throws a right hand that Lucas ducks under and follows up with a left that Lucas also avoids with ease.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Johnson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lucas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Lucas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Calviin Johnson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Lucas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Lucas persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.
Lucas dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Lucas's head and hops out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lucas.
Calviin Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Lucas.

Lucas shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lucas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Lucas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Johnson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Johnson tries to clinch but Lucas moves out of range.
Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lucas circles away quickly and effectively.
Johnson throws a shot from downtown. Lucas moves away and avoids it.

Lucas drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lucas throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lucas looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Johnson has picked Lucas up and slammed him! Lucas can't keep hold of the triangle and Johnson manages to pass to side control!

Lucas takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Lucas is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Johnson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Lucas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson cracks Lucas with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Johnson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Lucas is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnson!

Lucas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Calviin Johnson will probably get the nod.

Lucas has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lucas pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Lucas moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Johnson has worked his arm free - good work by Johnson!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson pushes Lucas away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lucas gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Lucas decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lucas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lucas gets slowly back to his feet.

I think Johnson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
