The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Rutten blocks the low kick.
Perry throws a hook to the side of Rutten's head but Rutten sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rutten looks to land a left hand but Perry moved out of range nicely.
Rutten darts in trying to clinch
enabling Perry to counter with a crisp jab.
Rutten uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Perry.

Rutten gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Perry avoids the elbow strike from Rutten, against the cage.
Rutten misses with an elbow strike.
Rutten throws an elbow but it misses.
Perry tries to stall but Rutten uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rutten pushes off an throws an elbow but Perry leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Perry has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rutten clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
This has been an exciting period of action!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Lee Perry will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Rutten throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Perry shoots in and bounces Rutten off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Perry forces his way into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rutten takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rutten is bucking up trying to escape but Perry cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Perry prevents Rutten from getting the reversal.
Rutten tries to lock up and control but Perry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Perry lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Rutten! Perry sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Rutten and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Lee Perry!
After the fight, Lee Perry was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
