And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Romero Jacare!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacare needs to keep his hands up - Shimizu had a free shot at his head there.
Jacare fails with a takedown attempt.
Jacare fails to land the takedown.
Shimizu looks to score with a jab to the body but Jacare is just out of range.
Jacare misses with an uppercut. Shimizu saw that one coming.
Jacare blocks a head kick by Shimizu.

Jacare looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jacare trying to control but Shimizu is working from the bottom.
Jacare stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shimizu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jacare is fighting to break Shimizu's control of his arms but Shimizu is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Jacare throwing strikes from guard but Shimizu blocks nicely.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Shimizu looks to land a left hand but Jacare moved out of range nicely.
Shimizu throws out a loose jab but Jacare uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shimizu moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jacare shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shimizu as he jumps to the side.
Kazuyuki Shimizu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Romero Jacare.
Shimizu connects with a body shot.
Kazuyuki Shimizu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shimizu throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Shimizu connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shimizu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jacare manages to avoid it.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Shimizu.
Shimizu lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Shimizu connects with the punch.
Shimizu sizes up Jacare with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kazuyuki Shimizu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shimizu tests Jacare's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jacare shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shimizu as he jumps to the side.
Jacare moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Jacare tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jacare shoots in for a takedown but Shimizu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jacare looks gassed!
Shimizu thuds a left hand into Jacare's body.
Shimizu lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jacare's sensitive parts.
Shimizu connects with a nice looking jab.
Jacare misses with a straight left.
Jacare on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Shimizu. Shimizu obviously looking to wear him down.
Shimizu scores with a jab to the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shimizu lands a slapping body shot.
Shimizu jabs at Jacare's body.
Shimizu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Shimizu scores with the left hand. Jacare knows he should have avoided that one.

Shimizu lands a big head kick that sends Jacare tumbling to the mat! Shimizu takes a step backwards and waves Jacare back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Jacare is rocked!
Shimizu moves in close and cracks Jacare with a massive right hand! Jacare, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Shimizu!
