The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pessanha fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Flash looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Pessanha shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flash's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Pessanha wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Flash, who protects the arm well.

Pessanha has hold of Flash's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Flash seems comfortable defending it but Pessanha has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Flash is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Flash is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pessanha couldn't care less - he's delighted!
