The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stick misses with a takedown
and Carwin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stick tries for a takedown but Carwin circles away easily
and Carwin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Cheese Stick has been cut.
Cheese Stick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stick tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Stick takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stick misses with a takedown attempt

and Stick is countered with a crisp right hand from Carwin that sends him to the canvas! Carwin follows him to the mat into side control.
Shane Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cheese Stick.
Carwin scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stick to see if he's OK.
