Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mon Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Karman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Karman!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Key avoids a punch combination nicely.
Karman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Karman moves out of range of the body kick.
Key tries to clinch but Karman is having none of it.
Key looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Karman lands a two punch combo.
Karman moves out of range of the strikes.
Key throws a low kick, looking for Karman's leg but Karman calmly moves out of range.
Karman throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Key tries to clinch but Karman is having none of it.

Karman gets tackled into the cage by Key. Key maintains the clinch.

Key drops Karman with a beautiful combination! Karman stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Key is looking for the KO!


It looks like Kevin Karman has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Karman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Key throws out the jab.
Key takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Karman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Key has taken the fight to the clinch.
Key is looking to take this one to the mat.
Karman is looking to break free of the clinch but Key has double underhooks.

Key ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Key no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Karman wanted to stand there but Key had control of the position.
Karman is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Karman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Key has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Karman has managed to get both his arms back between Key's legs - danger averted.
Karman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Key manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Karman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Key manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mon Key will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kevin Karman seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Key throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Key throws the kick towards the body but Karman avoids it.
Key loads up on a big right hand but Karman slips the punch.
Karman fails to land with a series of punches.
Key lands a brutal head kick. Karman looks out on his feet and Key throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
