Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands a nice shot that snaps Ortiz's head back.
Ortiz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ortiz's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ortiz escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Ortiz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jones to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones throws a left that rocks Ortiz and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jones dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Ortiz regain composure!

It looks like Victor Ortiz has been cut.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
