The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clinton pushes De Ertu away with a front kick.

De Ertu ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. De Ertu no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Clinton enables De Ertu to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Clinton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
De Ertu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clinton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
