Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogers Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Wu Tang - Triumph. Nelson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Housequake. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rogers Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a front kick aimed at Nelson's knee but Nelson avoids it well.
Nelson is looking to chop away at Jackson's legs.
Nelson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nelson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jackson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jackson is looking to land body kicks.
Jackson blocks the body kick.
Nelson thows a body shot but no joy.
Jackson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jackson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nelson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nelson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Jackson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Nelson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jackson.
Nelson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Nelson is just out of range.
Jackson is looking to slow Nelson down with leg kicks.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Nelson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nelson throws a body punch but Jackson moves out of range.

Jackson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Nelson in a clinch.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The referee is keeping an eye on Jackson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nelson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A head kick from Jackson lands but Nelson takes it in his stride.

Jackson jabs Nelson to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Nelson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jackson. That one must have hurt.
Jackson throws a leg kick but Nelson checks it.
Nelson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Rashad Jackson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nelson misses with a wild body shot.
Jackson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nelson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Jackson looks to land a combination but Nelson avoids it well.
Jackson avoids a kick to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Jackson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jackson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nelson manages to avoid it.
Nelson lands a nice shot to the body.

Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Nelson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson's back!
I really don't envy Jackson right now.
Nelson tries to keep control of the position but Jackson is staying busy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nelson is sitting in close to Jackson's body. Jackson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Nelson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Nelson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jackson.
