Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erik Quin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otou Hek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quin comes to the cage accompanied by Michel Teló - Ai Se Eu Te Pego . Hek has chosen Tha Playah as his entrance music. Otou Hek will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik Quin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Otou Hek!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hek throws a nice head kick!
Hek is looking to clinch but Quin is avoiding it.
Hek tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Quin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Quin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hek lands a two punch combo.
Quin shoots in for a takedown but Hek shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hek wants it to stay on the feet.
Hek delivers a nice body kick.

and Quin counters with a stiff right hand.
Otou Hek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Hek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hek has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hek shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hek was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Quin is trying desperately to improve position.
Hek has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Quin's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Erik Quin.
Well Hek has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
