Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Average Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joe manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fowler on his heels. He'll look to pass Fowler's guard now, I'm sure.
Joe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Fowler has his foot on Joe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Joe works his way back into a safe position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joe looking to sit in guard and control but Fowler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Joe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fowler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fowler wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving.
Fowler stands and throws Joe's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Fowler working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Fowler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Joe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Fowler has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Joe!
Fowler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fowler is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Fowler extends the arm and Joe is forced to tap!
