Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francis Assisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malavetti Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assisi comes to the cage accompanied by In The Morning. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Malavetti Halo!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Assisi moves into the clinch.
Assisi tries to pull guard but Halo won't allow it.

Assisi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Halo regains guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Assisi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Halo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Halo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Halo!

Halo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Malavetti Halo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Halo scores with a hook to the body. Assisi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Assisi closes the distance and clinches up with Halo, looking for a takedown. Assisi pushes Halo against the cage but Halo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Halo lands a nice looking kick to the body. Assisi takes a step back to recover.
Halo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Halo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Assisi avoids the body shot from Halo.

Halo feints and then cracks Assisi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Assisi down.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Halo. Assisi shrugs it off though.
Assisi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Halo digs a good body shot into Assisi's ribs.
Halo thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Assisi if he has to take too many more of those.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Halo drops Assisi with a beautiful combination! Assisi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Halo is looking for the KO!


Assisi is rocked!


It looks like Francis Assisi has been cut.
Assisi walks forward, straight into a front kick from Halo.
Oh Assisi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice body punch from Halo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Malavetti Halo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Halo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Assisi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Assisi seems to have got his legs back now.

Assisi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Halo tries to avoid it but Assisi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Halo to the ground. Halo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Halo lands a big head kick that sends Assisi tumbling to the mat! Halo takes a step backwards and waves Assisi back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Assisi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Halo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Halo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Still in the clinch, Halo scores with a nice short uppercut.
Halo is muscling Assisi up against the cage and as Assisi bounces back off, Halo cracks him with a huge right hand! Assisi crumples to the mat - he's out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Malavetti Halo!
A relieved looking Malavetti Halo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
