PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryann Hazzard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hazzard comes into the arena with We Will Rock You blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Nelson's choice of entrance music: Trogdor. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hazzard is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Nelson is defending against the submission attempts here by Hazzard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nelson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hazzard pulls his head out easily.

Hazzard looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nelson is in trouble now - Hazzard has advanced to mount!

Hazzard fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hazzard tries to control but Nelson wriggling away.
Nelson is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hazzard lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Nelson hang on?

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hazzard is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Nelson is surviving well by controlling Hazzard's body position as best he can.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hazzard blocks Nelson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Hazzard postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nelson looks a forlorn figure.
