Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albert Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Furious George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly comes to the cage accompanied by Fire Your Guns. George is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lamb of God - Descending. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Albert Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Furious George!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George looks for a takedown but Kelly sprawls well.
Kelly throws a lazy uppercut
and George counters with a one-two to the body.
Albert Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kelly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but George moves away.
George closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Oooooh!!! Kelly has knocked George down with a huge combo! Kelly steps away and waves a wobbly George back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


George is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A nice leg kick lands there from Kelly.
George is still on wobbly legs! Can Kelly finish him?

George closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - George lands in his opponent's guard.
George throwing strikes but missing.
George is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
George seems to have recovered his senses.
George trying to control the position from guard on top but Kelly is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
George controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
George is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Kelly wants to sweep here but George controlling him for the moment.
George trying to control but Kelly is working from the bottom.
George postures up.
George stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kelly swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kelly takes a swing at George's ribcage but misses.
George staying out of range there.
Sloppy strikes from George. Those never looked like landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kelly pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kelly's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kelly duly obliges.
Kelly throws a looping overhand right but George ducks down to avoid it.
Kelly wants to slow George down by chopping away at his legs.
Kelly thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kelly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from George.
George dives in and grabs Kelly's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kelly pushes down on George's head and hops out.
Albert Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Furious George.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kelly throws a hook but George blocks it.
Kelly misses with a wild body shot.
George avoids the body shot from Kelly.
Kelly misses with a looping left.
Kelly throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kelly feints a jab promting George to slip. Kelly then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. George slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kelly just misses with a punch to the body.
George misses with a wild combination.
Kelly misses with a jab to the body

and George counters with a nice double leg into guard.
George working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
George postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
George trying to control the position from guard on top but Kelly is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
George missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
George controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
George is pushing down on Kelly's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kelly is fighting to maintain full guard but George has managed to sneak the leg through.

George is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kelly has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
George is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kelly!
George unloads with some shots from mount but Kelly bucks and avoids them well.
George throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
George in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

George working for a submission but Kelly is keeping him at bay.
George with shots to the head and body - Kelly looks very uncomfortable down there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A nice elbow there by George.
Kelly is squirming around, avoiding George's attempts to control the action.
Kelly tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Albert Kelly will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


George moves out of range of the strikes.
Albert Kelly is winning the standup battle so far.
Kelly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kelly feints and then cracks George's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow George down.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kelly.
Kelly misses with a left hand

and George counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kelly!
Kelly is looking to get to half guard.
George punching from mount but Kelly doing a good job of avoiding damage.
George connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kelly tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

George is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kelly can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
George has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
George sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kelly has left one of his arms exposed and George doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kelly screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Furious George!
